The AM1 Control Series, designed by Al Merrick of Channel Island Surfboards, is a medium Speed Control fin with a Ride Number of 3.0. The solid fiberglass construction features a single layer of uni-directional carbon fiber for weight reduction and response. It is the stiffest, most durable version of the AM1 and is ideal for stability in powerful surf. The center fin is smaller for increased maneuverability.
The Control Series are the lightest fiberglass fins we’ve ever made! The addition of carbon fiber has allowed us to utilize a slimmer profile for less weight & drag without sacrificing control.
